The Remote Medicine Upgrade and Recertification (RMUR) course fulfills the
current NREMT NCCP requirements for Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
recertification and meets requirements to renew or upgrade a current EMT to a
Remote Emergency Medical Technician (REMT). This course is 6 days of in-person training and up to 44 hours of CAPCE accredited continuing education. Please refer to your state agency for complete recertification requirements.

Overview:

The RMUR refreshes all REMT curriculum, such as high-level medical skills and topics that include advanced wound closure (suturing), foley catheterization, antibiotic therapy, IV administration, sick call and primary care, pediatrics, geriatrics, and childbirth. Additionally, the course covers travel medicine, telemedicine, medical kit integration, lifting and moving patients, advanced airway management, oxygen administration, shock, thoracic trauma, head injuries, dental emergencies, musculoskeletal injuries, respiratory and cardiac emergencies, mass-casualty incidents, anaphylaxis, cold and heat emergencies, altitude, immersion, submersion, and more.

Remote EMT (REMT), Healthcare Provider CPR (ECSI)

CAPCE CEU CREDIT:
Up to 44 hours CAPCE Accredited Continuing Education

RECERTIFICATION INTERVAL:
