Specialized Maritime Certification Qualification
Our course curriculum meets the specific training standards for first aid and medical care mandated by the USCG. Upon successful completion, we issue the official MCPIC Qualification Certification, which students can then use as proof of training when applying for or renewing their USCG licenses and endorsements.
The Medic First-Aid Provider in Charge (MCPIC) is a United States Coast Guard (USCG) designation for the crewmember responsible for providing medical care and managing first aid on certain commercial vessels. On voyages where a licensed medical officer (like a physician or nurse) is not required, the MCPIC is the designated individual entrusted with the health and safety of the crew. This critical role involves assessing patients, providing care, using the ship's medical chest, and liaising with shore-side medical advice.
