The Journey to Remote Medicine
Spending prolonged time in remote environments, both solo and alongside those I care for, has broadened my awareness of the risks that exist in the field. While pursuing personal goals and coming face-to-face with injuries firsthand, and sharing those experiences with others facing the same challenges, I came to understand how important it is to invest in acquiring the knowledge and skills required for prolonged care with limited resources, in order to support one another while reaching those goals.

This is a year of many new activities including surfing, sailing, and skiing! Trail running, thru-hiking, sea kayaking, anything tied to the mountains and the water has quickly grown into a passion of mine. But when I am inside I love to write stories from my travels, learning the piano, and joining in on dinner clubs and game nights with friends.
Exploring the Outdoors
Traveling and traversing mountain ranges with months of time to dedicate learning the culture and meeting some fun people along the way, hearing new languages and sharing stories, while being fully disconnected is by far when I feel like I am living and appreciating time outdoors to the fullest.
